ABOUT CARE
CARE – Children Nursing Team – is a non-profit organization that works to strengthen pediatric healthcare in low- and middle-income countries. Our work is based on a simple idea: all children have the right to safe, equal and professional care – no matter where in the world they live.
We are a team of specialist nurses in children and adolescents who, together with healthcare professionals in other countries, develop care for children. By analyzing risks, promoting children's rights and sharing knowledge, we create improvements that have a direct impact on everyday healthcare.
We work closely with Mpongwe Mission Hospital in Zambia and Sachsska Children's Hospital in Sweden. Together, we create long-term partnerships, training and initiatives that strengthen both pediatric healthcare and the conditions for healthcare professionals to provide safe, secure and child-friendly care.
Our work is based on the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child – especially the right to care, participation and to understand one’s treatment. Through education, CPR courses, analysis of care routines and mutual learning, we want to contribute to a future where more children survive, develop and receive the care they deserve.
